Habitat For Humanity Home Built By St. Peter Students Moved Onto Foundation
A Habitat For Humanity home built by local high school students is ready to welcome its new owners in St. Peter.
Habitat For Humanity of South Central Minnesota says the home was built by St. Peter High School seniors under the guidance of a Building Trades teacher. The home was moved onto its foundation yesterday.
The organization says the students volunteered more than 3500 hours to construct the house.
The project not only helps provide a home for a family in need.
Habitat says it's also a great way to prepare students for entry-level construction jobs after graduation.
