Another issue the Mankato City Council will vote on is the city's archery deer hunt.  The city got feedback from citizens on how to improve the annual hunt.
DNR wants the city to have a minimum of 40 hunting sites.  Currently there are 41.

Previous rules that will stay the same include an archery proficiency test, valid state archery deer and bonus licenses, and a minimum age of 18-years old for hunters.

Proficiency tests will take place at Oak Ridge Archery in Kasota on August 17 from 9am to 7pm and August 18 from 8am to 2pm.
