Minnesota State University Mankato is teaming up with Clean Energy Resource Teams and Xcel Energy to highlight energy efficiency.
The team will highlight what they learned from personal experience, when they partnered back in 2017 to complete 20 projects at MSU.
The projects included LED lighting throughout campus, and upgrades to energy efficient heating, cooling and motors.
The changes reduced MSU's annual energy usage by 18 percent, and is expected to help them save about $423,000 per year.
Businesses interested in learning more about reducing public building energy are encouraged to attend today's event.
It kicks off with a forum at 9:30 this morning at Centennial Student Union Room 245 and wraps up with a tour at noon.
