An arrest warrant is out for a 25-year-old Pemberton man, accused of using a knife to coerce a minor into taking drugs.
Deputies were called to a home in Pemberton January 1. According to court documents, a parent told police their 15-year-old child admitted to ingesting cocaine. The minor was taken to the hospital.
Further investigation found Justin Blane Mortensen was accused of offering the minor narcotics while driving him around.
When the minor refused, Mortensen allegedly took a knife from his pocket and eventually began poking the victim in the leg with it until the minor took the drugs.
Court documents say Mortensen is also accused of providing the minor with methamphetamine.
The family of the victim told police they are concerned for their safety. They reported that Mortensen repeatedly drives by their house and throws garbage in their lawn.
He faces three felony drug charges and one count of second degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
