One person is killed and another critically injured in a crash on Interstate 90 in Freeborn County.
It happened just after 3:30pm on January 10th east of Hayward.
The State Patrol says the vehicle was westbound on the Highway when the 76-year-old driver, believed to be suffering from an unknown medical condition, drove off the roadway and into the ditch.
Authorities say the vehicle continued through a farm field before vaulting over two separate county roads and rolling.
The unbelted 80-year-old female passenger was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported via ambulance from the scene and later flown to St. Mary's in Rochester with life-threatening injuries.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Both the driver and passenger are from Albert Lea. Their names have not been released.
