Windy Tuesday Across Southern Minnesota

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - A low pressure system will lift north tonight bringing with it rain and windy conditions.

The low will be deepen as it lifts north this deepening will result in strengthening of the low noted by the tightening of the pressure lines, resulting in gusty conditions.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has now issued a wind advisory for all southwestern and western MN.

Wind gust are anticipated to be anywhere from 35 miles per hour to over 50 miles per hour.

At this strength, you can expect loose lawn furniture to be tossed about. Also can expect trash cans to be blown down the street and/or tipped over. Traveling in a high profile vehicle will be difficult during these conditions, so take caution when operating these vehicles.

Winds look to stay on the breezy side until Wednesday night before things quite down Thursday.
