NEW ULM, Minn. (KEYC) - The new poppy garden was in full bloom Thursday over the New Ulm City Cemetery’s Soldiers Rest section to the east and the Doughboy Statue to the west.

These flowers have been a national symbol of remembrance for those who fought and died in World War I since 1918. Poppies re-seed themselves so it is hoped the garden will continue to stand for years to come.
