Madison East Center to expand

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - A groundbreaking ceremony is planned at Mankato’s Madison East Center for a new expansion.

Officials with Coldwell Banker Commercial Fisher Group say Madison East Center will be expanding by an additional 21,500 square feet of leasable space. The public is invited to a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 10 a.m.

They say an additional five spaces are currently available for lease for retail or office users ranging from 1,970 – 9,900 square feet and can be built to user specifications. The group says the addition will feature a modern exterior, enhanced guest entrance, improved parking lot and easy access from Victory Drive. As part of the addition, Handi Medical Supply will be expanding to include an additional 4,800 square feet.

Coldwell Banker Commercial Fisher Group says the groundbreaking ceremony will recognize the history of Mankato’s premier hilltop shopping center (1968) and review the repositioning of the building over the past 15 years.

The project is expected to be finished by the end of 2019.
