Passenger taken to hospital after car crashes into Chesley Skate Park

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) — An Andover man and Mankato woman face possible charges of child endangerment after a car driven by a 9-year-old crashes into the Chesley skate park.

It happened just after 8:30 last night where the child was driving with Hudalla with the child’s mother looking on.

You can see the damage done to the side of the building from the collision.

Mankato public safety says the passenger, Connor Hudalla of Andover was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

“Somehow he was going in reverse initially," explained Commander Dan Schiosel. "Then somehow it was a manual transmission and then somehow then it got into a different gear going forward.”

The 9-year-old driver was cared for on the scene.

ORIGINAL STORY: Mankato Police responded to an injury accident at Chesley Skate Park in Mankato Tuesday evening.

It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Police say a passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
