MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Officer Arik Matson’s is in stable but still critical condition according to his family’s pastor.

Matson was shot while answering a suspicious circumstance call.

Kaleb Hurley, the lead pastor at Hope Church in Albert Lea, says Matson is not “out of the woods yet” and still has a “long road ahead of him,” but has been able to respond to questions through a thumbs-up signal or squeezing his hand.
