NEW ULM, Minn. (KEYC) - Power has been restored in New Ulm after a major outage late Sunday night.
Law enforcement says that the outage occurred at around 11:30 p.m.
They believe a transformer blew, causing the loss of power. Stoplights were temporarily out of commission near Center and Broadway.
It’s estimated close to one-quarter of the town lost power during the outage before being restored around 2:45 a.m. Monday morning.
