Over 10,000 absentee ballots sent to county voters so far

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) — The Minnesota Primary Election is on Aug. 11.

According to Blue Earth County officials, over 10,000 ballots have been sent out to county voters.

So far, the county has received about 3,000 of them back.

”We’ve already accepted just under 3,000 here at Blue Earth County for this election. We only accepted a total of 2,200 voters in total in the primary of 2016,” Blue Earth County Elections Administrator Michael Stalberger said.

In Blue Earth County, ballots must be returned in the postage-paid envelope or dropped off at the Blue Earth County Elections Office.

And, Minnesota’s absentee ballots must be postmarked no later than Election Day.
