MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) — U.S. Representative Jim Hagedorn (MN-01) and Democratic candidate Dan Feehan gear up for round two, as election day is just five days away on Nov. 3.

As the clock ticks in the race for Minnesota’s First Congressional District, Feehan encourages the public to go vote, highlighting what he says he’d fight for if elected.

“To put an end to this pandemic, bring about a national strategy to test, trace and provide proper PPE (personal protective equipment) for everyone. But also to make the economy work for everyone to have the means to endure the economic hardships that the pandemic has brought with it. To also fight for affordable health care, affordable prescription drugs and more options for health care too," said Feehan.

In 2018, Feehan lost to Congressman Hagedorn by about 1,300 votes out of 300,000 cast. With another potentially tight race ahead, Feehan criticizes Hagedorn’s leadership.

“And lastly it’s this idea that I don’t see you as a red or blue person. I see you as a hard-working person. Who expects their representative in Washington to be working harder than they are and right now you don’t have that. You have a Congressman that has quit on you at the worst time possible," said Feehan.

KEYC News Now will hear from Hagedorn, later this week.
