MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The demand for realtors is rapidly growing statewide. Minnesota Realtors says the number of newly licensed real estate professionals is up 82% year over year. Experts say more people see an opportunity to have a flexible career in a growing sector of the economy.
“When asking the people themselves why they’re getting into it, the most prominent statement is they’ve never had time in the past to get into it and so right now they’ve had some time I imagine with the pandemic. People are at home, and the other part of it is that the market is really good right now,” says Christopher Galler, CEO of Minnesota Association of Realtors.
More than 70% are located in the Twin Cities metro area, 10% in the Rochester metro area, and the remaining spread across the state.
