Mavericks fall to No. 5 in latest USCHO poll

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) — The Minnesota State Mavericks men’s hockey team slipped one spot in the latest USCHO poll after having another series postponed.

The Mavericks dropped one spot since last week and are now ranked fifth in the nation, while St. Cloud State moved up two places to fourth.

MSU has only played in seven games so far this season, which is the least amount of games for any team ranked in the top 10.

Minnesota State has a 5-1-1 overall record and is scheduled to take the ice on Friday to begin a two-game series at Lake Superior State.

The Lakers will enter the series with a 6-1-3 record.
