MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Minnesota State University, Mankato welcomed students back Monday for the spring semester.
Most courses will be online while labs and art studios will be in person with social distancing and proper PPE usage in place. As students return after the holiday break, the University encourages them to practice safety precautions.
“We are starting in a slightly modified mode to start this semester where we are encouraging students to lay low for a 10 day period where they might obtain a test just to make sure everything’s okay,” Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs Matt Cecil said.
Face masks continue to be required indoors and encouraged outdoors. Residence halls and campus facilities are open.
In addition, theater performances are planned to reconvene in the near future.
