Blue Earth County Fair welcomes back the community

GARDEN CITY, Minn. (KEYC) — The Blue Earth County Fair kicked off its first day Thursday.

Last year, the fair committee held off as long as they could before finally canceling due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

But this year, they are back with animals, food vendors, and performances at the grandstand. The event draws people together from all over Blue Earth County who come to Garden City for the fair.

“We are here, we are ready, we are eager to greet people at our front gates we are eager for people to come out, enjoy the camp, camping as well, enjoy the fair, enjoy the grandstand events. Come on out to the Blue Earth County Fair,” Blue Earth Fair Board President Robin Titez said.

The fair goes until Sunday and features events at the grandstand, like compact car races on Saturday and a demolition derby on Sunday night.
