MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Dry weather has helped construction crews get ahead of schedule on the Riverfront and Highway 14 project.

Asphalt has been laid through the new roundabouts.

The interchange closed back on May 3 to construct the two teardrop roundabouts that connect with the on and off-ramps of the highway.

Officials say the $2 million projects will help improve traffic flow.

Weather permitting, work is expected to be complete by late August but county officials say could be done sooner if the dry weather continues.
