The company scouts around 2,000 seasonal employees each fall.

This year, it’s ahead of the game.

1,600 applications have already been submitted. says the increase comes at the right time--mirroring a major jump in sales.

“This is the first season where there really aren’t any restrictions,” said Chief Financial Officer Matthew Burkett. “The last two years, there’s been more COVID restrictions, so we’re really optimistic about the Halloween season this year. Orders are up, volumes are up, applications are up-- which is a great thing here.”

The company recently expanded its warehouse space to the former Brown Printing facility in Waseca.

“We’ve got about 100 people working over there right now,” Burkett added. “We’ve been there for most of the year, and we’ll probably be there into next year as well. It’s really an overflow facility for us, storing inventory, making sure we’re receiving it all and fulfilling some orders out of that location.”’s experimenting with new technology to expand automation and expedite operations.
