(Gray News) - A fire that broke out at a fuel pump disrupted operations at the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
The airport reported on Friday morning that the fire was promptly extinguished and the affected pump was shut off.
A full ground stop was ordered by the Federal Aviation Administration as the airport conducts a safety inspection before fuel services can continue.
Friday afternoon, DFW officials reported the inspection had been completed and fueling operations had been restarted.
Travelers were still advised to check with their airline about their flight’s status since it would take time before operations were completely back to normal.
