Anfernee Patterson started at KEYC News Now in September of 2022. He loves sports and the wonderful things it brings, including the stories from different athletes and people. He has a ton of experience covering numerous sports teams including the Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs. He previously interned for The Atlanta Journal Constitution.

What's your favorite part of your job?

Doing Prep Athlete of the Week and Anchoring

What's your dream story?

Covering the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings in the Super Bowl

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

A lawyer and CEO/owner of Chick-Fil-A.

What got you interested in sports?

I watched college football, basketball and baseball games all day on Saturday whenever I had free time. When I played basketball for the recreation league at 8, my love for sports started.

What person do you most admire?

My grandparents, James and Jeannette Hixson and Grandmother Mildred Patterson

They poured so much love into me since I was born. That loved rubbed off on my parents who gave me everything they could in my life. I always think of the stories and life lessons they gave me. It motivates and encourages me to be at my best while always willing to grow.

What's your favorite candy?

Trolli Sour Neon Crawlers and Haribo Gummy Bears
