Sixth through eighth grade girls participated in S.T.E.A.M. camp this week.

The girls spent their four days at camp exploring science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, as well as the arts to continue their love for learning.

"It's all about giving them the opportunity to get a little more information, and get them excited, keep them excited about these opportunities because middle school is one of those ages where kids can kind of get turned off to the sciences and we want to keep them excited and going forward into high school and college," Stephanie Zojonc, director of STEAM program and camp, said.

Minnesota State Mankato faculty, students, and other positive female role models from the community led the camp.
