Thousands of runners are getting ready for the Mankato Marathon on Sunday, but as with any big event, traffic is a concern.
Roads will shut down early Sunday morning and the race will take off around 8am at Minnesota State University.

For those who aren't running or looking to cheer from the sidelines, the university area will be one you'll want to avoid.
"Obviously in the MSU area it's going to be really busy on Sunday morning. When you have a few thousand runners who are all going to be starting from the same spot and all running out in town on the same couple of roads," Chris Willaert, Sports Commission Director at Visit Mankato warns.
