MANKATO, MN - First responders from the City of Mankato and Blue Earth County took part in a statewide disaster drill this morning.
The drill was called 'Operation: Bad Water' and the scenario involved a series of bad storms contaminating the local water supply.
Sergeant Justin Neumann of the Mankato Department of Public Safety, said:  "In real time, they give us, here's your scenario.  Which is what's going to happen in real life and then we work through that a while, come up with some mitigation plans and strategies, look at resources, look at what those objectives and priorities would be in dealing with a real world situation."
The drill was not just for government first responders, Minnesota State University - Mankato and River Hills Mall officials participated as well.
