NORTH MANKATO, Minn.-- The 53rd annual "Fun Days" will have a shorter schedule than usual for summer 2018. 
The fun-filled event will run only for three days, an occurrence that takes place every seven years.

Event Co- Chair Dennis Kemp said the change is due to the availability of their chosen carnival company, and the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year. 
"This year we have a condensed run of events but we've managed to retain all of the events that we historically have," said Kemp.

" Just put them in a little tighter package, we have the carnival itself starts at four o'clock on Friday and runs as normal." 
Fun Days will run from July 6- 8.  Bands will be present along with the parade and many other activities. Kemp said they added a new feature called "Pancakes in the Park" which will take place on Sunday.
