In Mankato, The potential for city funding for an expanded parking ramp at the now under construction Eide Bailly Center might be off the table for the moment.

The Mankato city manager's office found that chipping in for the $135,000 ramp was not justified, with no immediate need, nor interest from surrounding property owners.

The administration has recommended that the city council not take any action on the issue at Monday nights official meeting, but did include that if the developer decides to proceed with the ramp, a tax increment reimbursement or City Center Renaissance loan may be considered upon request.
