ACE Mentor Program Presents Opportunity To Students
Any students interested in architecture, construction or engineering are encouraged to check out a new mentor program in town.
The ACE Mentor Program is designed to introduce participants to careers in design, engineering and construction.
Industry mentors who range from designers, architects and construction managers will guide students as they produce a hands-on-project.
Students who complete the program are ultimately eligible for college scholarships.
“The students get to have these mentors that are within the community," said program mentor Jessica Bergeleen. "Those mentors are their network. When they go off to college, or maybe they go to a 2-year college or maybe they just need a year off and are trying to figure out a good place to work, these are people they can reach out to and those people actually know them as well.”
At the end of the program, participants will have an opportunity to present their project and gain valuable feedback.
The program is still accepting applicants, for more information visit the program's website or contact Mankato Community Education via phone (507) 387-5501
