The city of Jackson has kicked off a new program in an effort to help attract new businesses.
The Jackson Business Development Committee is now accepting applications for the Jackson Business Challenge.
The program is a three-phase competition that offers a prize package worth $20,000.
The winner will receive everything from rental assistance, and free marketing to legal and accounting assistance as they start up their business.
The goal is fill empty buildings in downtown Jackson as well as attract entrepreneurs.
The deadline to apply for the first round is February 27.
