Carnegie Art Center hosted a gallery talk with the artist of one of its current exhibitions, Local Talent.

Reed White, an artist who calls Mankato home, documented the city through the faces of its people.

He hopes visitors take in the complexity of his subjects.

"The story that they tell. It's a documentation of the time that I live in, the community that I love and we're fascinating creatures." White said

White's exhibit will be up for another week.

The next gallery talk is Thursday with artist Lori Wolf, whose exhibit is also on display this month.
