For the third consecutive year, Minnesota ranks in the top 3 states in the nation.

In a survey conducted by U-S News, the North Star state falls just behind Washington State and New Hampshire as the premier places to live.

The survey broke down into eight separate categories, including health care, education and infrastructure with respondents giving their levels of satisfaction in each aspect of the state.

Minnesota is listed as the third-best state for "opportunity" as well as natural environment with survey-takers saying their biggest concern is fiscal stability, which is the state's lowest-ranked category at number 25.
