Hi Cloud Dispensary prepares to open North Mankato’s first recreational marijuana store

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Hi Cloud Dispensary, a sister store to Hi Cloud Tobacco and 507 Tobacco in Mankato, says it is preparing to open North Mankato’s first combination medical and recreational marijuana store at the end of June.

Michael McMahn, a manager at Hi Cloud Tobacco, says the business originally planned to open at 300 Belgrade Avenue back in November, 2025, but due to changes in regulations, it had to reapply for its license.

McMahn says the store passed its final inspection from the Office of Cannabis Management this month.

Now that it is fully licensed, the goal is open during the last week of June or early July to avoid overlap with Independence Day.

The dispensary is set to have a shared rewards program with its two sister stores in Mankato.

McMahn says since the business will be opening at the site of North Mankato’s old Game On Nutrition building, the store hopes to be able to honor the site’s history by keeping old metal plating from the previous structure as shelf decoration.
