Mankato Salvation Army opens cooling center Sunday

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - A cooling center will open Sunday for those looking to beat the heat.

The Mankato Salvation Army will open a cooling center at it’s downtown location from 1-6PM Sunday, with the possibility of extending to later in the day if needed.

This will be a place for those to get out of the excessive heat only.

The Salvation Army asks that if you see someone struggling outside because of the heat, to please send them to The Salvation Army dining room at 700 S Riverfront Drive for some relief from the elements.
