VINE’s 55+ community welcomed at ‘Love Your Age’ event

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - VINE’s 55 plus community had the opportunity to find local resources at today’s, free, ‘Love Your Age’ Expo.

Presented by Monarch Healthcare Management, over 90 vendors were available along with free health assessments including blood pressure checks and balance assessments provided by VINE’s staff and Minnesota State University, Mankato College of Nursing staff and students.

10-Year Mankato resident Deborah Tennant has attended the Love Your Age expo for the past three years.

Not only is she happy about how much information and resources are offered, she also takes advantage of the items, games and presentations at the event.

“It’s nice to get some structure for mental health and things like that too. They help you out with everything,” Tennant said.

Entertainment and presentations included: VINE Stompers performance, a chair yoga exercise class, discussion topics about eating as you age, life after retirement and more.
