Shaving for a good cause

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Three Community Bank employees in Mankato shaved their heads after surpassing fundraising goal.

Community Bank presented Greater Mankato Area United Way with a check for $33,555.

Mike Ogaard and Eric Boelter agreed to buzz their heads while Ryan Gracia, who already shaves his head, agreed to shave his cherished beard.

“I’m slightly embarrassed right now just not knowing how this looks right here, but this has been a lot of fun. The need that’s out there and the fact that there is so much need in our community every dollar makes a huge difference so if this helps raise just a dollar it was worth it today. Oh my gosh it is gone it’s, no it’s a little different I hope my wife’s going to be okay when I show up at home tonight,“ said branch manager Eric Boelter.

The bank’s goal was $23,000 and they crushed it assuring their new aerodynamic hairdos.
