Mankato, New Ulm area Thanksgiving events

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - If you need a place to find a Thanksgiving meal or enjoy some company, we have two ideas for you.

Up first, the Mankato Elks will host their annual Thanksgiving dinner.

Starting at 11 AM Thursday, head to the Salvation Army for a carry-out Thanksgiving meal- all hosted by the Mankato Elks Lodge.

Here’s what’s on the menu: turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, corn, rolls, and of course, some pie!

There won’t be availability to eat at the Salvation Army, which is why they’ll have to-got, hot meals served.

they’re serving food all day until it’s gone.

Another option: head out to New Ulm for the annual community Thanksgiving dinner. This is the 36th year that New Ulm community friends will be holding the feast.

New Ulm Community Friends Thanksgiving Dinner will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 417 S. MN Street on Thursday, November 28, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. All your “made from scratch” traditional Thanksgiving foods will be available.

everyone is welcome and no registration is needed and the group is still looking for volunteers! You can become a server or be a part of clean-up! To learn more about volunteering and to sign up, call Les Schultz at 507-766-5466.

There is a take-out option if needed. Cash donations are accepted to help the costs of the event.
