Mankato Brewery announces closing date and “Last-Versary” date
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The Mankato Brewery, announced a closing date of January 31st, via social media early this week. Before the doors close for the final time, one last going away party, Saturday Jan. 25th, dubbed the “Last-Versary”, it marks the original opening day of the brewery 13 years ago.
“It’s our 13th year and since it’s our last anniversary, we just didn’t like the idea of 13-year anniversary, just not a very popular number and superstitions. So, Andrew, our tap room manager said ”... let’s call it “Last-Versary.” So that’s what stuck, and that’s what we went with. The goal was just to bring awareness and excitement. I’ll be doing a private tour for people, to not only talk about the brewery, but maybe myself a little bit and how we got where we are now."
Said Tim Tupy, founder of the Mankato Brewery.
