Mankato Salvation Army to open cooling center this weekend

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Due to the heat and humidity this weekend, the Mankato Salvation Army is opening a cooling center.
The Mankato Salvation Army, located at 700 South Riverfront Drive, will offer the cooling shelter both Saturday and Sunday from 11 AM to 7 PM.
You can access the cooling center by using door E.
The Salvation Army normally operates a day shelter Monday through Friday from 9 to 5 but is opening this weekend due to the extreme warm and humid weather expected.
