North Mankato city council postpones decision on cannabis dispensary

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - North Mankato will wait a little longer for its first cannabis business.

The city has a pending application for a cannabis shop at 300 Belgrade Avenue, which was most recently the home of Game On Nutrition.

The application was submitted by Madeline Peck of Cornflower Blue Properties, and already received preliminary approval from the State Office of Cannabis Management back in June, and now only awaits council approval.

Monday night the council delayed their decision, citing the need for all council members to be present.

Now the decision will need to be made on August 4, otherwise the application will be automatically passed as it will have been 60 days since the original application.
