NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The city of North Mankato is asking residents to fill out a survey on an indoor recreation center.

The city says for nearly a decade, it has been exploring options to expand indoor recreation space to better serve residents as well as drive economic growth by drawing visitors to hosted sporting events.

The City Council is now at a point in the planning process where they want to ask residents for their input.

Residents are asked to complete an online survey. Those who desire to complete a paper survey can download or call 507-625-4141 and have a survey mailed to them. Paper surveys are also available at City Hall and the North Mankato Taylor Library.

The survey asks residents to provide feedback on the potential features and use of a sales tax measure to fund the project.

The survey takes about five minutes to complete and will be open until November 12.
