NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - South Central College celebrated Thanksgiving with its community Tuesday.

Each year the culinary and architecture departments team up for “Grateful Giving”, a meal served up to the community and a line of gingerbread houses available for silent auction.

The college said that the annual event is an opportunity for students across departments to work together on an event that’s so important to SCC every year.

“Just impressing the audience is something that we look forward to when constructing our gingerbread to be exact, but I’d say overall I’m pretty excited for what people think,“ said Alexa Alera, an architecture student at SCC.

More than 400 meals were served at the event.
