Greater Mankato Growth warning local businesses of upcoming construction on Belgrade Ave

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) -

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is planning to repair the deck of the bridge.

They’re also replacing railings and turn signals. This work will close the entrance to the bridge from Belgrade Avenue.

Greater Mankato Growth wants to help local businesses get ahead of these roadblocks to blunt the impact of reduced traffic to the area.

Executive Vice President of Greater Mankato Growth, Andy Wilke, said, “[Businesses that] have great front access but maybe don’t have as good of back access to their business. So, helping just get out ahead of those challenges they might have coming up and making sure that they have a plan in place to get through it.”

GMG is holding an informational session Wednesday morning at the North Mankato Police Annex from 8am - 9:30am.
