Historic organ to be featured in demonstration Saturday

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - One of the area’s most historic instruments will be in action this weekend.

Good Counsel Chapel’s organ will be played this weekend at “Let the Pipes Sing”, an event organized by the Southwest Minnesota Housing Partnership, who took over ownership of Good Counsel at the end of last year.

The event will have a brief concert with the organ, as well as a look at the history of the instrument and the ongoing efforts to preserve the organ.

The free event will be at the Good Counsel Chapel on Saturday at 4 p.m.
