“Bookin on Belgrade” route changes due to construction

NORTH MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Bookin on Belgrade returns this weekend with a few tweaks.

Due to Belgrade’s construction, the 5K’s route has changes, now turning at Cross Street instead of the usual Range Street.

For those not running in the race, the library will be hosting a plant swap meet during the race.

Organizers say that they’ve reached their goal of registrations, and that they don’t expect the construction to interfere with the annual tradition.

“We’re really excited, we’re going to have many folks out there walking, running, pushing strollers like last year, it’s going to be a great event,“ said April Larson with the city of North Mankato.

Bookin on Belgrade begins this Saturday at 9 a.m. at the North Mankato Taylor Library.
