MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - The Greater Mankato Area United Way is inviting the community to a late night themed fundraiser kick off on Tuesday, July 28, at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center to help start its 2027 fundraising season.

The kickoff has been titled, the U-Nite Show, and will feature free appetizers, games, and a house band.

The funds raised at the event and throughout the yearlong campaign will go to support 75 different programs for basic needs, health and education across 51 different agencies in Blue Earth , Le Sueur, Nicollet and Waseca counties.

This year’s goal is $2.5 million dollars.

Kayla Olsen, the campaign’s chair, said the festivities will be free for anyone from the public to stop by and enjoy at the center’s banquet hall.

“It’s really a celebration, the kick off celebration to the campaign, so bringing community members together. There are appetizers that are free, a cash bar and there will also be a signature drink as well to celebrate the 95th anniversar,” Olsen said.

Companies and groups of attendees will also be able to reserve a table for 8 in advance for $95.
