Beyond The Veil paranormal expo comes to Mankato
The vendors share a deep belief that their knowledge can help people access their true potential.
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - For seven years, the “Beyond The Veil” expo has provided an opportunity for people across Minnesota and Wisconsin to learn about the spiritual world.
This year, they’ve come to Mankato for the very first time.
“This is our first time in Mankato, so we weren’t one hundred percent sure, but we had people asking us to come,” said Terry Flick. “We’ve had a tremendous response for it.”
The vendors ranged from psychics to tarot readers to crystal merchants - but all of them share a deep belief that their knowledge can help people to access their true potential.
“I use this to channel messages from people’s higher selves to show them what their soul’s journey has been over the course of many lifetimes,” said Lanitta Elder.
One of the vendors, who started as a life coach, says that spirituality is gaining popularity today - partially due to the immense pressure of today’s society.
“People are really trying to go within,” said Karina Muller. “This is a really perfect time where you can let go of all the expectations that society has for you.”
Ultimately, the expo’s success shows that in an era full of stress and rising mental health problems, people are turning to spirituality more than ever -- and according to the vendors, that is especially true of the Mankato community.
“I love Mankato,” said Elder. “You guys have gorgeous energy, and I think that everyone has gotten what they needed here.”
