Meet Lynnie, this week’s Weather Kid!

She is 11 years old and is in 5th grade at Eagle Lake Elementary School. She loves all things art as it’s a way to be creative, a way to express her creativity and a way to express herself. She said that of the different forms of art, her favorite is abstract as it can be more free and wild.

Outside of school, she has one older sister and together they have 2 guinea pigs named Toast and Brownie.

Lynnie prefers to be outside when she can. You can find her riding her bike or just enjoying the fresh air, laying in the grass relaxing.

She also likes to sing a lot in her free time for fun, stating her favorite genre to sing is KPOP.

Despite liking being outside, she does enjoy rainy and stormy days. The sound of rain is soothing but she also enjoys a good lightning show during stormy weather. She said she does have an interest in weather in general and tries to keep up with the forecast from time to time.

She also used to participate in Karate classes but has taken a break from them. She said she enjoyed being able to spend more time with her friends in the classes and all the different techniques she learned. Before she stepped away, she was in her Blue Belt era.

Lastly, if she could go anywhere on vacation right now, she would choose to go to Korea. She said she has always been interested in their food and culture in general and that it just seems like a fun place to visit.
