Recent lack of rainfall has been noticeable across the area. This lack of rainfall with dry conditions is expected to continue through the middle of this month with very little to no rain in the forecast. Temperatures continue to fluctuate, leading to a few more chilly nights ahead with temperatures dropping into the 30s, indicating a few more frosty mornings on the way.

Today will be another pleasant day despite a gradual increase in clouds across the area. Temperatures will top out in the mid-60s as clouds increase and a few sprinkles may make their way to the ground through the mid to late afternoon hours. Winds will be on the breezy side, hovering between 15 and 25 mph across the area and gusts up to 30 mph possible at times. The breeze and sprinkle chances are associated with a very weak cold front that will lead to a slight drop in temperatures for the next couple of days/nights. Tonight will start off mostly cloudy before becoming mostly clear around midnight as temperatures drop into the mid to upper-30s across the area by tomorrow morning. Some areas of frost may develop in areas that see temperatures closer to the mid-30s.

Tuesday will be slightly cooler thanks to the very weak cold front that moved through the area. Skies will start off mostly sunny before becoming mostly cloudy by the early to mid-afternoon hours. Temperatures will likely top out in the low to mid-50s by the afternoon hours as winds continue to stay breezy between 10 and 20 mph, gusts up to 30 mph possible at times. Tuesday night will be the “coldest” night of this week as temperatures drop into the low to mid-30s by Wednesday morning. This means we are looking at areas of frost likely between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

Wednesday morning will start off on the chilly side with areas of frost likely. From there, we will see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies as temperatures top out in the low to mid-50s and winds hover between 10 and 15 mph, gusts up to 20 mph possible. Wednesday night will be on the chilly side once again as temperatures drop into the mid to upper-30s by Thursday morning.

From there, temperatures will gradually warm back up through the end of this week and into next weekend with more seasonal temperatures returning to the area. Thursday and Friday will be warmer with highs hovering in the low-60s through both afternoons as winds blow between 10 and 15 mph, gusts up to 20 mph possible. Skies will teeter between mostly sunny and partly cloudy both days. Overnight temperatures will likely drop into the upper-30s by Friday morning and the low-40s by Saturday morning.

This coming weekend will continue with warming temperatures. We are looking at mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies on both Saturday and Sunday with temperatures topping out in the mid to upper-60s. Winds through the upcoming weekend will likely hover between 10 and 15 mph with occasional gusts up to 20 mph possible. Overnight temperatures will likely drop into the mid-40s by Sunday and Monday mornings.

Temperatures are projected to continue warming through the early half of next week with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies mixed in. We could see a few late night to overnight showers possible Monday night and Tuesday night, but nothing real promising in the forecast right now. Temperatures will warm up into the low-70s for Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week with winds continuing to hover between 10 and 15 mph, gusts up to 20 mph possible at times. Overnight temperatures early next week will likely drop into the low-50s by the following mornings.
